Zazie Beetz, born in 1991 was born in Berlin. Her father is an German cabinet maker who emigrated in USA in 1990. United States in 1990 after the collapse of the Berlin Wall, and her mother is a South African American social worker in New York. She attended at the same school with Jennifer Aniston. Beetz continued her French study through Skidmore College, after graduating LaGuardia. Beetz began auditioning shortly after graduation and got the role in Atlanta. Beetz was the daughter of an African American father as well as an African American father and a German mother from Berlin in Berlin was raised as an ethnically diverse New Yorker. Participating in community theaters and local stage shows since her childhood, Zazie found her joy in grade school and grew into acting.
